Medical Expenses
The Michigan No-Fault Act provides coverage of all medical bills and related expenses (medical mileage, prescription drugs, medical equipment and assistance devices) involving the treatment of accident-related injuries.
Depending on the type of insurance coverage a motorist has selected– either FULL or COORDINATED coverage– these medical benefits may come directly through the auto insurance carrier or coordinated with the motorist’s health insurance plan. If you have FULL coverage, your auto insurance typically covers your medical expenses; if you have COORDINATED coverage, your auto insurance covers any expenses not covered by your health insurance plan.
